What x-rays are offered at Eric Heim Dental?
At Eric Heim Dental we offer panoramic, bitewing, and periapical x-rays.
Panoramic x-rays show your entire mouth including the top and bottom jaws.
Bitewing x-rays show the crowns of the teeth and the bone levels. They are good for diagnosing tooth decay and bone loss.
Periapical x-rays show the entire tooth and help determine if the tooth is infected.
Does Eric Heim Dental have digital x-rays?
Yes, we have digital for bitewings, panoramic, and periapical x-rays
How frequently do you need x-rays?
At Eric Heim Dental, we recommend the frequency of x-rays based on the individual patient’s needs. Most patients we recommend bitewing x-rays every year and panoramic x-rays every 5 years. Some patients may need x-rays more or less frequently. If you are having a problem with an individual tooth, we will take a periapical x-ray to see the entire tooth.
